Wall of Remembrance

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning; We will remember them. These famous words come from the famous poem, For the Fallen, by Robert Laurence Binyon.

Joe was born in Middle Sackville, NB in 1912. He was a member of the 8th Princess Louise New Brunswick Hussars and a recipient of the King George’s Silver Jubilee Medal. Captain Anderson was a member of the Trans Oceanic Pilot’s Association and flew Hudson Bombers to Scotland for the R.A.F. Ferry Command. Joe was killed in action on a return flight from Scotland in 1941.
