Wall of Remembrance

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning; We will remember them. These famous words come from the famous poem, For the Fallen, by Robert Laurence Binyon.

Victor was born in Perth, NB in 1920. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army in February 1940 and was shipped overseas in June. He served in England, Sicily, Italy, Belgium, and Holland with the Carleton and York Regiment. Victor was wounded near Ortono, spent convalescent time at Salerno, and returned to Canada in 1945. He was a Life Member of RCL
Perth-Andover Branch No. 36 for 50 years. Victor passed away in 1996.
