Wall of Remembrance

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning; We will remember them. These famous words come from the famous poem, For the Fallen, by Robert Laurence Binyon.

Valmond was born in Paquetville, NB in 1917. He served with the Three Rivers Regiment in France, Holland and Germany. He was awarded the 1939-45 Star, Italy Star, France and Germany Star, Defence Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp and the War Medal 1939-45. Valmond passed away in 1990.

Valmond est né en 1917 à Paquetville, N-B. Il a servi avec le Régiment de Trois-Rivières en France, en Hollande et en Allemagne. Il a reçu l’Ėtoile de 1939-1945, l’Ėtoile d’Italie, l’Ėtoile France-Allemagne, la Medaille de la Défense, la Medaille canadienne du volontaire avec agraffe et la Medaille de la guerre 1939-45. Valmond est décédé en 1990.
