Wall of Remembrance

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning; We will remember them. These famous words come from the famous poem, For the Fallen, by Robert Laurence Binyon.

William was born in MacKinnon Hill, NB in 1922. He served in Canada, England, and Italy with the Army’s West Nova Scotia Regiment. William was wounded in the right thigh and sent home to Sussex in a full-body cast. He was awarded the Italy Star, the Africa Star, the 1939-1945 Star, and the Defense Medal. William was a member of the R.C.L. Campbellton Branch No. 19 for 45 years. He passed away in 1991.
