Wall of Remembrance

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning; We will remember them. These famous words come from the famous poem, For the Fallen, by Robert Laurence Binyon.

John was born in Carsonville, N.B. in 1896. He joined the 104th Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force in Sussex N.B. and was transferred to the 26th Battalion in 1916. He served in England and France and survived Vimy Ridge. In 1917, he was wounded at Hill 70 and died the following day.
