Cecil was born in Scotchtown, NB in 1916. He served in the Army with the 8th Hussars in Italy, France, Germany and Holland. He was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Decoration, the 1935–1945 Star, the Italy Star and the France and Germany Star. Cecil was a member of the R.C.L. Minto Branch No. 12 for 30 years. He passed away in 2009.
