Wall of Remembrance

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning; We will remember them. These famous words come from the famous poem, For the Fallen, by Robert Laurence Binyon.

Wallace was born in Grand Falls Portage in 1916. He served with the Princess Louise Hussars L/CPL in the United Kingdom, the Mediterranean Area, and Continental Europe. Wallace was awarded the 1939-1945 Star, the Italy Star, the Defense Medal, the France and Germany Star, and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp. He was a member of R.C.L.
Perth-Andover Branch No. 36 and Florenceville Branch No. 37 for 40 years. Wallace passed away in 1997.
