Barry was born in Wicklow, NB in 1918. He served in the Army with the Carleton and York Regiment in England, Sicily and Italy. He was wounded twice and was hospitalized in 1945 for a serious injury. Barry was awarded the Italy Star, the Defence Medal, the 1939-1945 Star, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the War Medal 1939-45. Barry died in 2008.
