Wall of Remembrance

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning; We will remember them. These famous words come from the famous poem, For the Fallen, by Robert Laurence Binyon.

John was born in Puisville, Prince Edward Island in 1917. He served in the Army with the Hamilton Rifle Regiment in France, Germany, Holland and Newfoundland. John was awarded the 1939–1945 Star, France and Germany Star, Defence Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, War Medal 1939–45 and the Holland Medal. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion, Carleton Branch No. 2, for over 50 years. John died in 2004.
