Wall of Remembrance

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning; We will remember them. These famous words come from the famous poem, For the Fallen, by Robert Laurence Binyon.

Herman J Good was a soldier in the army in WW1. He was a recipient of the Victoria Cross, a very prestigious award for gallantry. He was born in South Bathurst, NB and worked in the lumber industry. Today, he is remembered by all Bathurst citizens. You can visit the Bathurst War Museum to see more information.
