Arthur was born in York Mills, N.B. in 1889. He enlisted with the 236 Battalion and was transferred to the 42nd Regiment. He served in Canada, England, and France. Arthur was killed in action in 1918 during the Battle of Amiens in France. He rests in the New British Cemetery in Bouchoir, France.
