Wall of Remembrance

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning; We will remember them. These famous words come from the famous poem, For the Fallen, by Robert Laurence Binyon.

Ernest was born in Hatfield Point in 1916. He served in the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps in Canada, the U.K., France, Holland, Belgium, and Germany. He received the British Empire Medal, the Defense Medal, the C.V.S.M., the War Medal 1939-1945, the 1939-1945 Star, and the France and Germany Star. Ernest passed away in 1997.
