Wall of Remembrance

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning; We will remember them. These famous words come from the famous poem, For the Fallen, by Robert Laurence Binyon.

Fred Smith enlisted with the 8th NB Princess Louise Hussars and proceeded overseas in October 1941. He served with the 8th NB Hussars until March 1943; he was then posted to Army Service Corps, serving in U.K. and N.W. Europe as cook Gp "B" until his return to Canada on October 16, 1945. He was discharged on January 17th, 1946.
